As a story that celebrates popular music from the last 70 years, Typewriter Time Machine is a collection of many genres, including Big Band, jazz, rock, R&B and electronica.
The music embraces the quirky humor of this unusual story, while also hinting at darker themes of disillusion and tragedy. With many moods come a wide variety of rhythms and tones.
Although this is currently a work in progress, we have a collection of demos. We have yet to decide which songs to polish for production.
Although Typewriter Time Machine may be considered a musical, it will not sound like other familiar musicals. It’s more of a staged film put to music, accompanied not just by singing but by dance and even stand up comedy. It’s an expression of popular culture in its many forms.
